Makinde names new Oyo PDP Building as Kunmi Mustapha House, tells Wike to show impacts on Rivers PDP

Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde has challenged the former governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike over his readiness to monitor the  activities of People's Democratic Party in Oyo State. 

Makinde stated this at the official commissioning of new PDP Secretariat building at Oke Ado in Ibadan on Tuesday. 

The governor who noted that the vagaboncy in the party since 2015 has been expired, appealed for forgiveness from the party members for yoking with some of the vagabonds in 2023, saying he had returned wholeheartedly into the party with full force. 

Stressing his achievements in the party since 2019, Makinde said his leadership will continue to repay hardwork, dedication and commitment in the party, saying his leadership's building of PDP Southwest and State Party Secretariat are a testament of progressing the democracy in the country. 

Meanwhile, the governor who appreciated the unity in the party, maintained his trust in the nation's judiciary and that the truth will continue to prevail in the party. 

 In their various remarks, chairman of the People's Democratic Party in Oyo State, Dayo Ogungbenro, former speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Monsurat Sunmonu, wife of former governor of Oyo State, Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja and chairman of the Elder's State Council, Dr. Saka Balogun commended the foresights of Seyi Makinde led administration, restating commitment of the party to remain in power beyond 2027 for a healthy democratic governance in Oyo State.

Earlier, the PDP National chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Turaki described the new building a legacy, calling members of the party to remain resolute, focused and united irrespective of oppositional challenges in Nigeria. 

The event gathered leaders of the party across South West and Nigeria, Members of the National and State Assemblies, among others.
