The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Comrade Olawale Olaleye, has congratulated Hon. Akin Alabi on his new appointment as the Jagun Olububadan of Ibadanland.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Friday, Olaleye described Akin Alabi's new chieftaincy title as a recognition of his dedication to grassroots development. He noted that Akin Alabi's efforts towards peace, progress, and positive contributions to Ibadanland and Oyo State are invaluable.

"Honourable Akin Alabi is a dedicated, selfless, patriotic, focused, hardworking, and loyal personality. These qualities have earned him this new role."

The APC chieftain also recalled that the 2023 APC Oyo gubernatorial candidate, Oloye Teslim Folarin, was recently promoted as Aare Alasa of Olubadan.

The Avant Garde Support Group, a prominent APC group in Egbeda, has also congratulated Hon. Akin Alabi on his new role. 

In a statement signed by the group's media head, Olawale Kunle, it described Akin Alabi as "salt of the world" and praised his outstanding performance.

"Hon. Akin Alabi's appointment as Jagun Olubadan is a testament to his quality performance and success in promoting democracy and socio-political development in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Nigeria."

The group prayed for Akin Alabi's continued strength and health, urging him to remain dedicated to the progress of Ibadan and Oyo State, as well as the APC's success in the 2027 general elections.
