8 Years After: Omo Bao Reflects on Leadership Journey, Reaffirms his Commitment to Ibadan North
Exactly eight years after being sworn in as the Caretaker Chairman of Aare Latoosa LCDA on April 8, 2017, Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji Omobao has expressed profound gratitude and reflection on his political journey, while reaffirming his commitment to the continued development of Ibadan North.
In a statement marking the anniversary, Omobao described the moment of his inauguration as one forever etched in his memory. “To have a dream and see it fulfilled, no matter how small that dream may seem, is never by human strength alone. God must have a hand in it,” he stated.
He gave special thanks to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, who appointed him into office, acknowledging the former governor’s pivotal role in shaping his political path. “He trusted me, nurtured my political growth, and had me in mind long before that day. I am eternally grateful,” Omobao said.
Omobao also appreciated Her Excellency, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, for her constant support and encouragement throughout his tenure. He extended gratitude to his wife for being his anchor during the highs and lows of leadership.
“To our party leaders, executive members, family, communities, business associates, and friends, I say a heartfelt thank you. Your belief in me, your prayers, and your contributions made all the difference,” he added.
Now stepping forward as an aspirant in the upcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election, Omobao declared that his renewed ambition is driven by humility, experience, and a deep passion for service.
“As I now step forward… I do so with humility, hope, and renewed commitment to serve. May the journey ahead bring greater service to humanity and honor to all who believe in the dream,” he concluded.
As political activities gear up in Ibadan North, Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji Omobao’s eight-year journey is seen as evidence to service, gratitude, and an enduring commitment to community development.
