Breaking:Ibadan National Museum's Curator, Otuka becomes South West Zonal head
The Curator and deputy director, National Museum of Unity, Aleshinloye, Ibadan, Mrs Oriyomi Pamela Otuka has been appointed South West Zonal Head.
The appointment is conveyed in a letter signed by the director general of the National Commission For Museums and Monuments, Olugbile Holloway, and made available to newsmen on Wednesday, noted that the deputy director of the National Museum of Unity, Ibadan was promoted as one of the six zonal heads approved by the Commission.
The zonal heads which will cover the six-geo political regions of the country, included:
Zone1- Headquarters Annex: Adedeji Nkechi Olatunbosun ( reporting to the director general);
Zone 2- SouthWest- Oriyomi Pamela Otuka;
Zone 3- South East- Aloysious Nduka Duru;
Zone 4- South-South- Mark Olaitan;
Zone 5- North West - Rose Madaki;
Zone 6- North Central- Kingi Kasai Linus and,
Zone 7- North East- Ralph Mamza.
While the appointment takes effect from Wednesday 12th March, 2025, the Commission congratulated the new appointees, charged them to fully discharge their duties to the progress and development of the Commission across the country, noting that its headquarters ( Abuja) and headquarters Annex( Lagos) are only exclusively exempted from reporting to zonal heads.
Recall, Mrs Oriyomi Pamela Otuka has won plenty of awards in recent times over her efforts to revolutionize Arts, craftsmanship and Museums' administration which has in no small restored the primitive glory of cultural tourism in Ibadan and Oyo State, at large.
