2024 PERA AWARD: Prince FM Radio, three Presenters register Awards

One of the recent founded radio stations in Ibadan, Prince 89.7FM and three of its presenters win in the just concluded Pacesetters Entertainment And Recognition Awards, PERA AWARDS Event.

The Award Night held at Mauve 21 Event Centre, Ring Road, Ibadan officiated by a classic Nollywood Actor and Film Director, Yomi Fash-Lanso.

The Radio station and five (5) of its Yoruba Presenters were nominated for the event in October in various categories alongside other media stations across Oyo State.

The nominated Presenters are Head of Operations II, Boluwaji Ogunyemi-Jacobs, Kareemat Jayeola, Wale Olaogun, Kayode Adeyemo, and Sola Aiyegbajeje.

After eight weeks of nomination, Prince 89.7FM Radio emerged Best Indigenous Radio of the Year, while three of its presenters including Head of Operations II, Boluwaji Ogunyemi-Jacobs, Head of Programmes, Wale Olaogun, and its Administration officer and young presenter, Karimat Olayiwola- Jayeola registered prestigious awards.

Speaking after the event, Head of Operations II, Prince89.7FM Ibadan, Mrs Boluwaji Ogunyemi-Jacobs, expressed her delight in the wider growth and development of the Radio Station, described the feat as an atom of push for more exploits for the medium in Oyo State, Nigeria and World at large.

In his remarks, Director of Programmes, Prince89.7FM Ibadan, Mr Wale Olaogun dedicated the award to his late parents, describing the founder of Prince 89.7FM, Barr. Dr. Babatunde Balogun Oruomeniowo as a channel of grace and promotion to his media practice.

Meanwhile, the young and award winner in Prince FM, Mrs Karimat Olayiwola-Jayeola said the award was least expected in her media career, dedicating it to Barr. Dr. Babatunde Balogun Oruomeniowo who continually trains and backgrounds development of every personality in his radio station
