Nigeria's 64th Independence Day: A Call for Unity and Inclusivity- Oyo State EA, Disability, Timothy

 As Nigeria marks its 64th Independence Day, a milestone that celebrates the country's freedom from colonial rule, the Executive Assistant on Disability Matters to Oyo State Governor, Hon. Timothy Olufemi Sunday, has extended a heartfelt gratitude to his principal, Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering support and commitment to creating an inclusive society for the disability community in Oyo State.

He noted that Makinde's administration has been a beacon of hope for persons with disabilities in Oyo State, demonstrating a clear understanding of their needs and challenges through the establishment of an agency for people with disabilities, saying "It is a testament to Governor Seyi Makinde's dedication to the  promotion of  equality and opportunities for all."

Stressing that the disability community in Oyo State has made significant progress, Hon. Olufemi Timothy said  but there is still work to be done.

He urged every Nigerian to join hands in building a more inclusive and equitable society, reaffirming their resolve to advocate for their rights and promote inclusivity in all aspects of society.

"As Nigeria marks this significant occasion, its citizens pray for continued progress, peace, and prosperity. The nation's diversity is a source of strength, and its unity is crucial for its advancement.", he concluded.
