APC Avant Garde Commends Senator Yunus Akintunde, Oyo Central Senator's ICT/GSM Mega Youth Empowerment

A support group of the All Progressives Congress in Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Avant Garde, has commended the just concluded mega youths empowerment initiative facilitated by Senator Yunus Akintunde, representing Oyo Central Senatorial District.

In a statement jointly signed and made available by Chairman Hon. Tayo Olatunji and Secretary Hon. Samuel Oluwafemi on Sunday, Senator Yunus Akintunde was described as a champion of youth development and transformation.
The second phase of the Youth Digital/GSM initiative, which held across five local government areas – Egbeda, Lagelu, Akinyele, Ona-Ara, and Oluyole – at FaithJoe Civic Centre, Akobo, between Wednesday, 2nd and Friday, 4th October 2024, drew over 500 selected youths.
The training, facilitated by Senator Yunus Akintunde in conjunction with the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria and Federal Co-operative College, Kaduna, exposed youths to new trends in Information and Communication Technology and Global System for enviable learning and earning through high-waged lecturers.
The group extolled the vision and mission of the lawmaker in these critical economic periods, adding that the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State has been richly blessed with outstanding elected lawmakers, especially at the Senate and Federal House of Representatives, above its opposition members from the People Democratic Party.

Avant Garde noted that the successfully selected youths from Egbeda, Lagelu, Ona-Ara, Akinyele, and Oluyole have undoubtedly become employers of labour in their respective councils, as each of them went with Tablet x1002 PRO (1080 Ultra HD) and GSM Repairing complete kits and startup funds.

"This is a rare initiative ever," the group said.

The group equally commended the setup of the three-day training, including the involvement, supervision, and coordination of party local government chairmen, especially Comrade Olaleye Olawale (Egbeda), Ward chairmen, including Hon. Suraju (Hon. Suraj), Egbeda Liaison Officer to Senator Yunus Akintunde on Political Matters, Hon. Taoreed Akande, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Oyo Central Senator, Hon. Kunle Olatunji, and other chieftains of the party across Oyo South Senatorial District.

Meanwhile, the group requested Senator Yunus Akintunde to schedule a formal meeting with Avant Garde for more robust working together and a mouthpiece in Egbeda, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
