Abuja based politician, Ambassador Olawore commends Makinde's monumental response to Minimum wage payment to Oyo workers

An Abuja-based Ibadan-born civil engineer and developer, Mogaji Ambassador
Abdulsabur Abiola Olawore has commended the positive contribution and unflinching support of the Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde to the improved welfare of workers in the state.

Mogaji Olawore made the commendation on Saturday in response to the governor's readiness to commence the payment of the #70,000 minimum wage.

Governor Makinde also announced on Saturday during the 2024 World Teachers’ Day Celebration held at the NUT (ENDWELL) Model College Sports Complex, Owode Housing Estate, Apata, Ibadan that the N25,000 wage award to workers and N15,000 wage award to pensioners, so extended by another three months, pending the compromise of consequential salary adjustment between the state government and Oyo State Labour Centres.

While commending the Seyi Makinde, 
Mogaji Olawore, noted that the extension of wage award for the next three (3) months from October and readiness to commence the payment of the approved #70,000 new minimum wage for workers indicated the commitment of SeyiMakinde led administration to the welfare of workers and pensioners in the state

He said Governor Makinde has demonstrated leadership and has shown his love and passion for state workers and commitment to alleviating their sufferings.

According to Mogaji, Ambassador Olawore, “ Governor Seyi Makinde has made the welfare of workers and pensioners one of his administration’s cardinal policy thrusts, as he continues to show his leadership skills and unquestionably love for workers in the state."

” With the extension of worker’s wage award for three months and his commitment to implement the new minimum wage of #70,000, governor Seyi Makinde had demonstrated his dedication to workers’ welfare in Oyo State.

 There is no doubt that Governor Makinde has always identified with the state workers at all times and has shown enough passion and commitment to alleviating the plight of the workers, the pensioners inclusive,” he said.

Mogaji, Amb. Olawore also appraised the state governor for keeping to his promises, saying Makinde continues to write his name in Gold in the heart of Oyo workers with his prompt payment of workers’ monthly salaries and pensions for the retirees as well as continuous recruitment of unemployed youth to boost state workforce.

Meanwhile, the Abuja based politician charged every worker in Oyo state to focus on delivering good quality service to the public, reminding them to function in synergy with a single purpose and focused on delivering good quality service.
