Tribute: Late Hon. Musiliuden Akinremi, an irreplaceable personality in Ibadan North Federal Constituency-IB North PDP Stalwart, Hon. Kazeem Alimi

Late Hon. Musiliu Akinremi Jagaban 


Today, Wednesday, July 10th, 2024, marks a solemn day for me and the entire political community of Ibadan North Local Government Federal Constituency as we mourn the untimely passing of Honourable Musiliudeen Olaide Adewale Akinremi, fondly known as Jagaban. 

His sudden departure has cast a shadow over us all, leaving behind a void that will be deeply felt. Honourable Akinremi was more than just a politician; he was a beacon of generosity, kindness, and inclusivity. 

His legacy as a philanthropist and a dedicated public servant touched countless lives across our constituency. 

Despite the absence of upcoming elections, he passionately pursued community empowerment initiatives over the past three months, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to uplifting those around him.

Personally, I had the privilege of experiencing Honourable Akinremi's warmth and sincerity. 

Upon learning of my decision to return to my former political party, PDP, he earnestly attempted to persuade me to reconsider, sending respected emissaries and engaging in heartfelt conversations. His genuine concern for our political unity and welfare was evident in every interaction, where he emphasized unity and progress for our constituency.

Honourable Akinremi's leadership extended beyond political affiliations; he was a unifying figure who commanded respect and admiration from all quarters. 

His approachability and readiness to address the needs of his constituents endeared him to many. Whether through personal recognition or community support initiatives, he intuitively understood and fulfilled the aspirations of those he served beyond party affiliations. 

His integrity and steadfast principles were unwavering, a testament to his commitment to ethical governance.

Beyond the realm of politics, Honorable Musiliudeen Olaide Akinremi Jagaban was a beloved figure, renowned for his infectious cheerfulness and boundless compassion. 

His passing leaves an indelible mark on our hearts and a legacy of service that will endure in the annals of our constituency's history.

In honoring his memory, let us cherish the values he embodied: selflessness, integrity, and a deep-seated dedication to his constituents welfare and beyond. 

As we bid farewell to Honorable Akinremi Jagaban, may his spirit inspire us to continue his noble work and uphold the principles of service to which he so passionately devoted himself.

Your presence among us will be sorely missed but your impact will be felt for generations to come.
