Tribute: "Hon. Alawode is a true leader, defender and mentor",- IB South East, Sup. Councillor, Hon. Saheed Azeez 'Foto'

A supervisory councillor of Ibadan South East of Oyo State, Hon. Saheed Olanrewaju Azeez has described the second term chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government Area, Pastor Emmanuel Alawode as a true leader, defender and a mentor.

In statement personally signed and made available to newsmen on Friday, the young politician noted that the Ibadan South East Local Government chairman has added value to every youth in his council since election in office in 2021.

Hon. Saheed Olanrewaju Azeez  fondly called "Foto" said his footing in grassroots politics was through the local government chairman and the good performance of the executive governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, with no regret.

The young politician who began active grassroots politics in 2006 on the platform of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, added that it takes a morally sound politician like Hon. Alawode and Governor Seyi Makinde to grow and develop youths into civility, which in turn out has had positive  impacts on the thirty-three (33) local councils of the state with distinguish across the country.

Hon. Saheed Olanrewaju Azeez maintained that the administration of Pastor Emmanuel Alawode has greatly affected the entire South East Local government area such that  talents are hailed into the spheres of life, including developmental politics as it plays out in the United Kingdom against wrong narratives people used to have about the area.

Appreciating the local council boss and other leaders in the area for their resilience, defence and delivery of good projects across the 12 wards of the council and good leadership roles, the newly appointed supervisory councillor pledged to perform excellently in line with the governor of the state's mantra "Sustainable Development Agenda" for more development of the entire Ibadan South East Local council and the state at large.

" Loyalty, performance and good representation is my watchword", the statement concluded.
