Just in: FG-Oyo Housing Estate: 6,000 youths will be engaged- Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has flagged off 250 units Housing Estate in Oyo state assuring of continued economic boost across the country.

The flag off and ground breaking ceremony of the Housing Estate held near the Ibadan Dry Port, Erunmu, Egbeda Local Government of the State on Tuesday.
In his welcome address, the minister of State of Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Abdullahi Tijani Kwazo noted that the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu is poised at providing 50,000 units across the country, which will include the low, middle and high income earners.

He noted that the construction would engage informal sectors owners, such as bricklayers, artisans, electricity traders among others which will provide jobs for six  thousand youths in Oyo state.

Speaking,  president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Honourable Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Architect Musa Dangwa stressed that the flag off of the project in Oyo state has turned the initiative to its 8th launch across the federation including Gombe, Osun, which have been captured, among others.

Architect Dangwa who lauded the governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde for an earlier allocation of 30 hectares of lands, which would enable fruitioning of the 100 trillion dollar economic target of Bola Ahmed Tinubu led government.

He added that the project and the thirty (30) percent reduction on the mortgage payable within thirty years and offront payment in case of financial capability of the buyers.

In his remarks, the executive governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde,  expressed his delight in the initiative by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Oyo state.

The governor, who was represented by Oyo State Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Survey, Mr Williams Akin-funmilayo   said that its administration has hugely invested in road infrastructure towards  boosting socio- economy of the seven Geo political zones of the state.
Makinde, called the federal government to extend the initiative to its geo-political zones, including Oyo, Ogbomosho, Oke Ogun among others more more rapid development in the state, assuring of continued investment in security, education and other key sectors.

Meanwhile, the project manager of Blue Sea Investment, in charge of the Oyo State-Federal government 250 Housing Units, Engineer Madaki Abdulrahman Simpa assured of delivering the project within three months.

He added that water, internal roads and electricity are part of the facilities expected within the Housing Units.
