38.8Km Feeder Roads commissioning: "There'll be phase 2 of this in Oyo, Ogbomosho, Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa Zones 3rd quarter of 2024",-Makinde

Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde has stated that his administration will make sure the Iseyin-Ikere Gorge Dam Road is constructed.

 The governor stated this during the commissioning ceremony of 38.8km Rehabilitated Ring Road, dualized Bustop-Molete- under pass, 10.8km, Oke-Adu-Orita Aperin 3.5km, Idi Arere- PopoYemoja Road-Oke Ado-Molete Road, 1.4km, Oke Ado-Iyana Adeoye Junction-Ring Road 2.15km, General Gas-Iyana Church feeders Roads, 5.84km held at Former D' Rovans Hotel Bus Stop on Thursday.

Governor Seyi Makinde reiterated on the importance of good road, adding that his administration has succeeded in completing  40.5 kilometres of the proposed 95.5km roads projected feeder roads within the Ibadan Metropolis.

While approving Bode-Challenge-Felele Rap Roads for rehabilitation, the governor said the second phase of the projects will be extended to Oyo, Ogbomosho, Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa Zones of the state, with street lighting to enhance economic development and security.

In their remarks, chairmen of Ibadan North East, Ibrahim Akintayo and Ibadan South west, Ibadan South West, Kehinde Akande lauded Seyi Makinde led administration by prioritizing local councils roads rehabilitation across the thirty three (33) local government of the state.

Earlier, the commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Prof. Dahud Sangodoyin noted the roads constructed so far by the   present administration in the state which has hit 335.7km since inception will enhance flow of traffic, safety, revenue and appreciation of property to both the government and individuals.

Present at the event included deputy governor, Bayo Lawal, former deputy governor, Hazeem Gbolarumi, wife of Late PDP Leader, Late Ariyibi Adedibu, Head of service,Olubunmi Oni, Chief of staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, Members of the Oyo state House of Assembly, government functionaries, other dignitaries, incliding the National President, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Chris Izibuzor, among others.
