Makinde Submits Nominees for Oyo Judicial and Civil Service Commissions to Oyo Assembly By Olawale Ogunbusola, Ibadan The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has formally submitted the names of nominees for the reconstitution of both the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission and the State Civil Service Commission to the Oyo State House of Assembly for legislative screening and approval. The letters conveying the nominations were read at the plenary session on Monday by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin. According to Governor Makinde, the nominations are in line with Section 197 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), which empowers the Governor to constitute such commissions with the approval of the House of Assembly.
